Today i went for my school's basketball trial and the turn out was great. Almost a hundred turn up for it. Was still fill of hope before they even started the trial. Half way through it I was so pissed by the way they choose the players. It totally don't make sense to me. How can you choose players by getting them to do right hand and left hand lay-ups?!?! If you're telling me the coach chose them then I have nothing to say about it but it's the team captain and some other players choosing the players. What The Fuck!! I got all the lay-ups done without even missing a single shot and they chosen people who missed 1 to 2 baskets out of 3 tries!!! So what if they are able to hit the board during lay-ups, they are not consistant... I seriously felt it unfair to the rest of the people who turned up for the trial and wasn't able to show what they have got in them. Out of the hundred odd, you're picking out only 20 people by the way they do lay-ups!!! This ain't a proper trial!!! This just shows that the team only choose people who have contact with them. I'm really pissed off by the way they're doing the trial, found it to be a bucket of bullshit.
